UoNA Monitors Storm Condition
Wednesday, September 12, 2018  12:01:14

As you all know, the east coast is preparing for some severe weather over the next few days due to Hurricane Florence.  At this time, and until further notice, the university is open as usual and classes are still scheduled to meet this weekend.

There is a possibility this approaching weather system could disrupt university operations which may require canceling classes and closing university offices.  The university is closely monitoring this developing weather system, and in the event it becomes necessary to close the university and cancel classes, an announcement will be made on UoNA website and on Moodle later in the week.

Again, at this time, and until further notice, the university is open as usual and classes are still scheduled to meet the next few days, including Saturday.

Students are encouraged to make sure they remain safe during this impending storm.  If they believe they cannot safely travel to the campus, the student will need to provide proper proof of their emergency situation in accordance with the university attendance policy and to inform their instructor and the university.
